Tokachi Wine Yamasachi [Red]

This wine is crafted from the Yamasachi grape, developed in 1973 by crossbreeding the Kiyomi grape with the native Japanese wild grape. It is characterized by a rustic aroma and refreshing acidity, reflecting its wild grape heritage.

In November 2020, Yamasachi became the third Japanese grape variety to be registered with the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), following Koshu and Muscat Bailey A. It is the first Hokkaido-grown variety to achieve this distinction.

Recommended Pairings: Pairs well with meats, game, and Japanese cuisine.

Serving Temperature: Best enjoyed at 10–18°C.
