Queen Rouge is a seedless grape that can be eaten with the skin and is a cross between the Russian variety Unicorn and Shine Muscat. It boasts a rich sweetness of over 20 degrees Brix and is a high-sugar grape that Nagano is proud of.

Because it is a descendant of Shine Muscat, it can be eaten with the skin and has no seeds.
The large size of the grapes makes them extremely satisfying to eat, and they are characterized by their muscat aroma and intense, lingering sweetness.

It was created at an agricultural experiment station in Nagano Prefecture, and in 2018 a name contest was held and the name "Queen Rouge" was registered as a trademark.
In 2019, it was registered as a variety called "Choka G11" and efforts are underway to register it overseas, making it a grape that Nagano Prefecture has high hopes for.
