To prepare, simply thaw the fish in its bag under cold water. Once the fish feels slightly soft to the touch through the bag, remove it. You'll find it easiest to handle and prevent the flesh from breaking apart if you begin filleting or preparing while the center of the sardine is still a little frozen.
