Clear and beautiful straw color with a hint of transparency. The aroma starts with citrus notes like orange peel, evolving into a secondary bouquet of white flowers.

This wine has a voluminous, slightly dry taste with a finish reminiscent of steamed chestnuts. Okushiri Island is a 84km-circumference island floating in the Sea of Japan, southwest of Hokkaido. It is famous for its exceptionally clear waters with a visibility of about 25m, where many types of seafood such as sea urchins, abalone, and mackerel are caught. Virgin beech forests cover about 60% of the island, creating a water-rich environment. It is within this natural setting, abundant with both sea and greenery, that we cultivate the grapes for our wine in our own vineyards.

The winemaking environment is unique, presenting challenges such as salt damage from being surrounded by the sea. These specific hardships are what give Okushiri wine its distinctive flavor. The high mineral content in Okushiri wine is a gift from the sea, carried by the sea breeze over time.
